About the event

Sault Ste. Marie wants you to hear of the city’s ongoing initiatives, successes and challenges and help raise the city up to be the best it can be.

The group of former Sault Ste. Marie residents will be asked to join in a networking workshop in Toronto on April 21 and help the city by forming a strong outside link that may eventually bring people home.

The event is being billed as an inaugural Sault Summit which is hoped to launch an online platform to network with former Sault Ste. Marie residents.

The idea came from Ward 1 Coun. Paul Christian back in the fall of 2016, a report to council stated.

His idea was to bring together former Saultites and get them involved in developing their hometown.

“The intent is also to use it as a network for companies to expand their business by doing business with others outside the community and to see if there is any interest in moving businesses to Sault Ste. Marie.
